Guess who's coming for dinner...

...and staying forever! Our farm grew by two today. Please welcome Bjorn and Toto, the wondergoats. They are Alpine Wethers (neutered males) we got through Puget Sound Goat Rescue.

So, why goats? Two reasons. One, we've decided to take a proactive approach to clearing our forest and making it usable pasture. But, we want to do it as organically as possible, and so I started researching goats and what do you know, they're kind of perfect for it. Two, we like to hike and goats actually make great pack and trailmates. How fun is that?

We have lots of big plans for Bjorn and Toto, but for now all they need to worry about is snuggling in to their final home. Aren't they adorable?
